Lawrence Yeaw, 68, passed away peacefully at home April 5, 2018. He was a son of Robert and Mable(Mott) Yeaw. Larry spent his childhood in Portland, CT where he loved fishing and hunting with cousins and family. When he wasn't cruising in his road runner, you could find him hanging out with the T.C.B. crew. Following graduation, he proudly served with the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, and was honorably discharged at rank of Sgt. Larry was a true NY Giants fan and loved watching his Boston Red Sox and UCONN Women play. One of his favorite past times was scratching tickets and playing Keno with life-long friend, Chucky. He also enjoyed the company of good friends Carla and traveling state to state with Mover Groover. Larry is survived by his daughter Tonya Weir and husband, Lawrence of East Hampton, CT; son Ernest Yeaw and wife, Katie of Marion, MA; three grandchildren Joseph Weir of East Hampton, CT and Brodie and Garrett Yeaw of Marion, MA. Larry also leaves behind his two brothers Robert Yeaw and wife, Henrietta of Enfield, CT and Gary Yeaw and wife, Fran of Portland, CT; two sisters Sandra (Yeaw) Rivera of Scotland, CT and Barbara (Yeaw) Maltese of Enfield, CT and husband, Kenneth; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Larry was predeceased by brother Douglas Yeaw of MA. There will be no calling hours or services at this time, however, a celebration of life will be held at a later date for family and friends.
