Khionna “Kelly” Davis Karlzen, 63 of Windsor, CT passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 9, 2018 at Hartford Hospital after a very long battle with Cancer. “Kelly” was born on October 15, 1954 in Hartford, CT to the late Samuel Davis Sr. and Julia-Mae Abrom-Davis. For the past eighteen years, she resided in the State of Iowa where she was a faithful and devoted member of the Gospel Assembly Church. Kelly’s favorite pastimes included enjoying the fellowship of her church, working as a hairdresser, being an avid reader and spending time with her family & friends. She is survived by her brother Abdul-Shahid Muhammed Ansari, wife Imani Ansari, his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephew, the children of her predeceased sister Joanne Davis whom she helped raised and their children; nieces and nephews the children of her predeceased brother Machmood Ansari and their children; the niece only child of her predeceased brother Samuel Davis Jr; the nephew only child of her predeceased sister Ethel Julia-Mae “Subae” Scudder; a loving Aunt Willie Lou “Coota” Abrom; a very special and loving friend Kevin Karlzen and his Mother Katherine Karlzen both of Iowa and host of other relatives and friends. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Friday, May 18 at The Lodge, 130 Deerfield Road Windsor, CT followed by burial in Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery Bloomfield, CT. Calling Hours will be held prior to the service from 10 AM to 11 AM.
