Jayne (Harvey) Larensen, 94, of Canton, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018. Born in New London, daughter of the late Sears W. and Ruth (Lewis) Harvey, she was raised in Hartford and Simsbury and lived in Avon for many years moving to Collinsville 20 years ago. Jayne served in the US Marine Corp during W.W. II and had been employed by Simsbury Bank for many years before her retirement. Jayne enjoyed gardening and volunteering at the Collinsville Historical Society. She loved to write and paint and was an avid reader. Jayne loved her life, friends, and living in Collinsville. She leaves her children William R. Larensen, Jr. and his wife Patty of Manchester, Doreen L. Huskes and her husband Richard of Hendersonville, NC, Darla L. Hudson and her husband James of New Hartford, Michael Larensen and his wife Lisa of Biddeford, ME, and Merri Anne Larensen of Old Lyme; a sister Olive H. Rugg of Newfield, NH; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by sisters Dorothy H. Cantrell, Norma H. Ritchie, Thelma Harvey, and Phyllis Cylcowski. A private graveside service for family will be held at Village Cemetery, Collinsville, section of Canton.
