Arthur was born on March 15, 1929 and passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019.

Arthur was a resident of Windsor, Connecticut at the time of passing.

Born in Worcester, MA on March 15, 1929, son of the late Raymond and Mildred (Spring) Roche, he was raised in Whitinsville, MA and was a graduate of Northbridge High School.

After his graduation, he served in the US Army during the Korean War and upon his discharge he moved to Connecticut and took a position in Danielson at Killingly High School and shortly after he moved to Windsor where he taught physical education at Windsor High School and coached football. After the Town of Windsor opened Sage Park Middle School, Art transitioned to teaching junior high school until his retirement after over 30 years with the Windsor Board of Education.

In memory of coach's dedication to sports and helping others, the family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Special Olympics Connecticut, 2666 State St. Suite 1, Hamden, CT 06517.
