Condolence & Memory Journal

I met Mark during the summer of 1994.
I started my first job in NYC at Smith Barney on 6th avenue in midtown. Mark had a great sense of humor and a great role model for someone just starting out in workforce. Years later I always remember talking about cars with him and his cherished 1998 air cooled Porsche 911. So saddened by his passing my condolences.

Dear Barbara and family,
I was so sad to read of Mark’s death. We have lost touch over the years but I have so many happy memories of the von Kreuter family- all those Christmas days coming to visit us- so long ago in Stamford.
I think of all of you ,in my yearly stops, to decorate my grandparents’ graves in Darien. My dad treasured his friendship with Alan and the rest of your family. I loved to hear them talk about their days at Fordham and I remember the sad day that Mrs. Von died and my father’s sadness over her loss. I also remember my dad being so happy to visit Mr.con and Joan is Florida, again, many years ago.
I treasure those memories and hope you find comfort in your memories at this time.
I send you peace and love at this sad time.

My deepest condolences to Mark's family and friends. Truly a great loss, and much too early. I have known Mark since we were 6 and attended St Thomas More/St John School together and then all the way through DHS class of 1980. We all had a special bond even when we did not stay in touch regularly. When Mark and I did connect in recent years, it was because my son, Alex, became good friends with his niece, Samantha. I took them both to Paris for their senior high school trip and Mark and I laughed about how times have changed!! I lost my brother Jim almost 2 years ago now at age 54 so I know how painful this must be for everyone. Incomprehensible. Let's all remember their JOY for the life well lived. Big hugs to all of Mark's family and friends. xo Susan Joy

My favorite memory of Mark was during high school when a bunch of us went to some scary movie or other and when we were walking down the street after the show someone jumped out at us from behind, trying to give us a fright. We both screamed and he picked me up and ran with me to the car. We both couldn't stop laughing. He was never one to leave a friend behind...he will be so missed. My heartfelt condolences to his whole family. He will live on in many hearts.
