Condolence & Memory Journal

Posted by A friend   July 22, 2019

We just discovered this sad news about Linda. We were blessed to first meet her in the Brazos where we shared a love of animals and nature. Her positive and practical outlook was always welcomed and her smile brightened any day. No matter the challenge, she remained hopeful about the future. She was strong and kind, a rare combination in this world. When she and we moved back east, we were honored that she brought her Mother to meet us. It was a very special reunion. We miss her. Heaven has indeed received a special angel.

Wow! I learned today that a special Lady I thought was invincible to the things in life that can take us out has met her match. Linda was such a kind, Healthy and emotionally generous lady who bonded and cared for people anywhere and everywhere. At the time I knew her; She cared for, loved and Helped everyone in her world. She had a very close beautiful relationship with her daughter; my friend Amanda Flury. My heart goes out to You Amanda. I pray you will be ok. Peace. Ralph.

Linda was a very special person, very kind. I remember when she first retired, she told me she always wanted to travel. Well travel she did, so glad she lived her retirement to the fullest. She will be truly missed. Delivered Linda's mail for many years, my condolences go out to her family. Heaven just received another Angel

Amanda and Kevin: Your mom taught me so much about love and forgiveness! May God's perpetual light shine upon her with all the radiance her smile gave to so many!

Linda was my mom's best friend and my "second mom" for much of my life, and I adored her like family. I'm heartbroken she didn't get all the time she deserved in this world. I know no one kinder, generous, straightforward or open-hearted. I will miss her, like my family. My heart goes out to you all. Hold each other close.

To all of Linda's family, and particularly Peg and Dan,

I am so very sorry to learn that Linda has passed. I got to know her a little bit when serving as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Pat's. She was always kind, sweet, faithful, and loving. It was an honor to know her.

My prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. May she rest in peace.

However, I must hold on to all the wonderful memories and times we spent together through our work at St. Patrick and St. Anthony parish as well as Associates of the Sisters of Mercy. I just can't imagine life without her smiling face and willing heart. we were all blessed to have known her and she will continue to be with us always.

I have only known Linda for a few years, since she became an Associate with the Sisters of Mercy. She has been a tremendous blessing in my life. Her contagious joy and love of life were never-ending. I was touched by the many ways she reached out to others and made their lives happier. I extend my condolences to her family and promise to pray for you. Carol Duffy, RSM

Linda introduced me to tacos for the very first time when we first met at her home at Glen Echo Lake in Charlton in the 80's. She was the perfect example of a caring and loving human being who embraced life and she willed be missed more than words can say.
Love you Linda!

We shared fun times on our cruise vacations, but my most treasured memories were of the middle of the night visits we had in the Radiology Dept break room while waiting for a patient. It never seemed so hard for me to get up & go in to work when Linda was the one who called. I looked forward to those quality visits we night owls were able to have.

Linda was as close as a sister to me, especially during the time we both lived in NM. There is hole in the hearts of those of us who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be right at home in the company of angels
