Tribute & Message From The Family

Linda M. Marsdale, 71, of East Hartford passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019. Born February 6, 1948, in Pittsfield, MA, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Flynn) Marsdale. She was raised in East Hartford and was a graduate of Penney High School, Class of 1966. She attended college in New Jersey and worked for many years as an X-Ray technician.

Linda devoted many years of service to St. Patrick-St. Anthony Church in Hartford, serving as a Eucharistic Minister and a member of their Women of Hope group. She was a selfless and giving soul and could be found volunteering at the soup kitchen, helping the homeless, taking care of her neighbors, and even housing those less fortunate than herself.

She liked to stay busy, and much enjoyed traveling the world, gardening, visiting the beach, feeding the birds, hiking and getting out into nature. But her family and friends were what made her life truly meaningful.

Linda leaves her son, Kevin Flury and his husband Tim Carney of TX; daughter, Amanda Flury of NM; brothers: Alan Marsdale and his wife Karen of PA and Greg Marsdale and his life partner Ana Dobbs of East Hartford; sisters: Peg Lareau and her husband Dan of East Hartford and Diane Lucas and her husband Mark of East Hartford; nephew: Marc Marsdale and his wife Laura and their children Poppy and Iris of Great Britain; nieces: Trisha Theobald and her husband Dave and their children Corbin, Gavin and Sydney of Cromwell, Danielle Jeram and her husband Kevin and their children Owen and Teagan of South Windsor, and Elizabeth Reilly and her husband Josh and their children Kenet and Jonah of PA.

A Memorial Mass will take place on Friday, May 17, 2019, 10:00 am at the St. Patrick-St. Anthony Church, 285 Church St., Hartford, CT 06103. A reception will be held at the church directly following the service. Burial will be private at Holy Cross Cemetery in Glastonbury.

Contributions may be given in her name to St. Anthony Bread of the Poor, Sandwich Ministry, 285 Church St., Hartford, CT 06103.
