Tribute & Message From The Family

David B. Theobald, 65, passed away on May 4, 2019, in the company of his family after a long courageous battle with A.H.U.S. David was born on January 29, 1954, in Springfield, MA, son of the late Walter and Elizabeth (Niggemeyer) Theobald. David grew up with stepmother, Ella (Rolandini) Theobald in Broad Brook, CT, as his mother passed when he was three years old, and his father spent most of David's childhood away in the United States Air Force.
David was a 1972 graduate of East Windsor High School. After graduation, David went to a trade school followed by an extensive career as a machinist for over 30 years. Working for H&B Tool, Wood Group, Camerota's, Phoenix Manufacturing, but is mostly known for the 19 years he worked for the United Technologies Research Division.
In 1980, David married the love of his life, Lisa (Apostle) Theobald. Together, despite tragedy, they raised four children. David loved coaching his three boys in soccer, baseball, and basketball while also sharing a special and unbreakable bond with his only daughter, Kelly. He much enjoyed spending time outdoors; playing softball with the German Club, camping, grilling, and mountain climbing. David was passionate about music and a fanatic about sports, his favorites being the Beatles, Red Sox, Bruins, and New York Giants. But most of all he was known for the laughter he brought to others.
David was loved and adored by family and friends, and is survived by his two sons, Colin and Austin Theobald; his beloved daughter in law, Kelly (Greeley) Theobald; his former spouse and lifelong friend Lisa (Apostle) Theobald; brother in law, Raymond Klezos, and the best friend anybody could ever have, Patrick Forbes. David was predeceased by his parents, stepmother, eldest son, Ryan David Theobald, and his daughter, Kelly E. Theobald.
Family and friends may gather at Carmon Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor, CT 06095 on Sunday, May 19, 2019, from 11 am – 12 pm followed by a Memorial Service at noon.
