Growing up on a farm in Rocky Hill, back when it was a small farming community, all the farmers knew each other well. They were special people and the extremely hard workers. No weekends off for them! I remember seeing them working down the meadows, for very long hours, in the heat with no air conditioning from dawn to dusk. They did it because the loved the work they did. I am saddened by Leland's passing. He was a good man, and last of the farmers of my dad's generation that I knew. He is now with all his fellow Rocky Hill farmers. My deepest sympathy to you Linda and Lisa, and Larry

Linda, Lisa, and Larry. So many memories. Bill, Karen and Doug always were excited to go to the farm, me too. Lee and Linda would welcome us with open arms, a tractor ride, a pony ride or a visit with the cows. He was never too busy to see us. And, of course, before we could leave I had the treat of listening to all his wonderful jokes. We laughed til our belly hurt. Rest in peace dear friend.
